The seed of the idea to become a Civil Celebrant was planted after I planned and arranged my own wedding ceremony in 2016. I wanted a day that was unique to me and my husband and which was filled with all our quirks and likes! We had a small intimate wedding with just 35 guests but I had carefully planned each element of the day so that we had a vintage themed wedding in a relaxed style.

Then in 2021 my Uncle passed away. We had always been very close and so I wanted to write the Eulogy for his funeral. I enjoyed capturing his character and funny memories and so this again nurtured that seed, that I too could be a Civil Celebrant and be good at it!

So here, we are! Training to be a Civil Celebrant was one of the best decisions I have made and am a registered Civil Celebrant with the International College of Professional Celebrants (ICPC).  I now have the privilege of working with couples and families to design ceremonies unique to them and that capture their love, memories and hopes for the future.
