General FAQs

What is a Celebrant?

A celebrant is someone who creates and delivers personalised, meaningful wedding ceremonies. Not scripts. Not templates. Not stuffy legal jargon.  Just a ceremony that’s relaxed, romantic, full of heart — and completely you.

Unlike a registrar, a Celebrant isn't tied to a specific script or location. They have the freedom (and joy!) of crafting something from scratch — based on your story, your personalities, and your vision for the day. Whether you want it traditional-with-a-twist or totally unique, a Celebrant will work with you to build it together.

What are the benefits of using a Celebrant?

A celebrant will work with you to create a ceremony which is unique to you. No two ceremonies are the same, just as no two people, couples or families are the same.

A celebrant ceremony can freely incorporate different aspects of religion, symbolism, or cultural tradition if desired and can take place anywhere indoors or outdoors.  For weddings, a celebrant led wedding does not have to take place in a licensed wedding venue.

Do you carry out other ceremonies other than weddings?

Definitely!  I also do Vow Renewals, Funerals, Naming Ceremonies, Adoption Ceremonies and more information about these can be found on the individual pages on my website.

I am very much about celebrating any life event which is important to you so the above are examples of the types of ceremonies but this list isn't exhaustive!  I am willing to create a ceremony for almost any type of event so please get in touch and we can start planning a bespoke ceremony together!
